A roof plumber who only does metal
Small operation, one trade, and a deliberately narrow list of work. Here is what that actually means for your roof.
This is a roof plumbing business working across Sydney, with the south west and the west prioritised because that is where it is based.
The work is complete re-roofs, tile-to-metal conversions, new metal roofs on extensions and new builds, and everything that moves water off a roof: gutters, downpipes, fascia and flashings. Crew is scaled up for larger jobs by working with people we already know rather than by hiring strangers for the week.
Why the trade distinction matters
In New South Wales, roof plumbing is a licensed trade of its own. It covers metal roofing along with the guttering, downpipes and flashings that go with it, which is why one trade can finish the job.
The qualification behind that work here is CPC32620 Certificate III in Roof Plumbing, issued by Building Trades Australia Education & Training (RTO 30979) in September 2025. A NSW trade licence application is with Service NSW and has not been issued yet, so nothing on this site describes the business as licensed and no licence number is shown. Both will change on the day the number arrives.
It also matters technically. A roof is not waterproof because the sheets are waterproof, it is waterproof because the flashings are right, and flashings are roof plumbing. That is where roofs fail and where the time on a good job goes.
How we quote
We measure the roof. On the roof where we can get to it safely, and off satellite imagery where access is genuinely awkward, which is common on two-storey work and tight blocks.
The quote names the profile and the colour, says which battens are being replaced and which are staying, and states in advance what happens if the frame underneath turns out to be worse than it looked. That last item is where most roofing disputes come from, so it gets settled before anyone starts rather than after.
What we turn down
Tile restoration, repointing, roof painting and internal ceiling repairs are all real trades and we are not any of them. We also do not chase small leaks as a service. Job size is not on that list: there is no lower cut-off, and the crew scales up to roofs of around a thousand square metres.
Saying so costs work. It also means that when we do say yes, it is because the job is one we can finish properly rather than one we can fit in.
